Forrest Henry Stapel, 96, of Rosemount, was called home by the LORD Friday, January 11. He was born April 9, 1916 in Lester Prairie, Minnesota to Emil and Martha (nee Wiedenroth) Stapel. Forrest served his country as a Navy Corpsman during World War II. He is survived by Marilyn, his wife of 64 years, son Forrest William (Lola), daughters Deborah (Gary) Smith and Cynthia (Larry) MacKenzie, 4 grandsons, and sister Beatrice Doonan. Forrest was a devoted husband and a loving father. He will be forever loved and treasured. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, January 17 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 14980 Diamond Path, Rosemount. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday, January 16 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley (952) 432-2331, and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Apple Valley. Memorials are preferred to the church.
