Evelyn M. Carl

Evelyn M. Carl, owner and operator of the Westwood Beauty Salon, age 78, of Hastings, passed away August 27, 2011 at United Hospital in St. Paul. She was born in Hastings to Albert and Mae Hubley on February 23, 1933. She married Donald E. Carl on June 4, 1955 in Hastings. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dutch Plan; and sister, Sally Collins. She is survived by her husband, Donald of Hastings; children, Lisa (Ed) Gath of Plum City, WI; and Thomas Carl (Kay Pitman) of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Timothy Carl; Zackary, Breanen, Derrick and Tony Gath; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Alvina Hubley; and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday (8/30) from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
