Eugene C. Teuber

Eugene C. Teuber, age 52 of Hastings died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on September 4, 2011, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Eugene was born January 15, 1959 in Hastings to Lawrence and Lois (Partington) Teuber. He attended St. Mary�s School in New Trier, Hastings High School, and St. Catherine�s College in St. Paul.Eugene was employed 22 years as a nurse with Martin Luther Manor in Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his brother Darold and is survived by his parents of Hastings; sisters Betty (Ned) Rutledge of Warsaw, MO, Diane (Rick Stern) Williams of Hastings, Brenda (John Janssen) McCarthy of Hastings, Joanne (Jason) Stengel of St. John, IN; nieces and nephews Steve, Jenny, Scott, Justin, Ian, Jessica, Sara, Alexander, and Olivia; great-niece Angel and great-nephews Hunter and Mason. The Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Stan Mader will be held 10:30am Wednesday, 9/7/11 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church, New Trier followed by interment in the parish cemetery.Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to the Wednesday service at church.
