Eugene A. Reinardy

Eugene A. �Gene� Reinardy, age 66, of Hastings died November 21, 2010 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Gene was born September 2, 1944 in New Trier to Mathias and Magdalene (Beissel) Reinardy. He married Joanne Bauer September 10, 1966 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Eugene was employed by American Hoist until it closed, and then retired from Robinson Transfer. He was an avid runner and completed many marathons. He also loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Arnold and Leander. Gene is survived by his wife Joanne; children Donna (Bryce) Kimmes of Cannon Falls, Lisa Reinardy, and Ryan (Kim) Reinardy, all of Hastings; grandchildren Zack, Ally, Brooke, and Isabella; siblings Ollie (Marilyn), Delores Knoll, Lorraine Kimmes, Rose Huberty, and Monica (Glen) Snyder, all of Hastings. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. James Perkl, will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. The visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are C.J. Merritt, Rick Snyder, Dan Reinardy, Tom Knoll, Randy Knoll, andBrad Reinardy.
