Esther J. Dahl

Esther Jane Dahl, age 52, of Maplewood, MN died early Friday, March 9, 2018 at her home following a lengthy illness. Esther Jane was born on November 30, 1965 in Crookston, MN to William and Gloria Major. She attended North Dakota School for the Blind and later graduated high school in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She then attended technical school after high school. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative for Minnesota State Services for the Blind. On October 26, 2002 she married Robert A. Dahl. She loved nature and living a simple life. She greatly enjoyed taking nature walks in the state parks. Esther is preceded in death by her mother Gloria, a brother Billy and father-in-law Roy Dahl. She is survived by her husband Robert, 2 sons Christopher and Gabriel; her father William Major, a brother Brian and 2 sisters Gwen and Jan; her mother-in-law Ruth Dahl, sister-in-law Rachelle (Jeff) Neuman and their children Alex, Andy and Nicole. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Our Saviours Ev. Lutheran Church, at 400 W. 9th Street in Hastings, MN. A visitation will be 1 hour prior to that service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
