Esther Heselton

Esther R., an avid reader, age 84, of Hastings, passed away at her home on Nov. 7, 2010. Esther was born in Hastings August 30, 1926 to George and Katherine (Rollinger) Matz. She married Lauren Heselton in Red Wing on October 3, 1942. She was a very active woman, who enjoyed boating on the Mississippi, outdoor activities, and playing cards with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren; son, Jeffrey; parents; brothers, Harold; George Jr. Richard; and Ralph; sister, Gertrude and infant sister, Helen. Esther is survived by her children, Larry (Kathy) Heselton of Hastings; Terry Heselton of Hastings; Linda Berkness of South St. Paul; Lois Dalaska of Hastings; and Diane (Dave) Tutttle of Hastings; grandchildren and great grandchildren.A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 12th at 10:30 a.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. The Visitation will be Thursday, November 11th from 4:00 - 7:30 pm at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at Cottage Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove, MN. Pallbearers are Gary Heselton; Michael Heselton; Ben Tuttle; Justin Dalaska; Scott Matz; Mike Dalaska. Honorary Pallbearers Guy Sherry and Greg Swaringen.
