Ernest N. Werner

Ernest N. Werner, age 93, of Vermillion died Monday, August 27, 2012 in Hastings.Ernest was born November 14, 1918 in Vermillion, MN to William P. and Margaret (Thurmes) Werner. He married Viola Bauer on September 25, 1948 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion. He was the retired co-founder of Werner Implement in Vermillion. He was preceded by his parents, and siblings Arnold Werner, Theresa Loesch, Tony Werner, Lenora Ries, Rosella Bauer, Florence Zeien and Leonard Werner. He is survived by his wife Viola, children Marlene (Mark Jorgensen) Werner of Roseville, Mel (Chris) Werner of Hastings, Shirl (Tom) Daly of Minneapolis, Charlie (Jody) Werner of Hastings, Deb (Dan) Traun of Edina, Sharon (Chuck Hanna) Werner of Maplewood and Lori (Jake Bakken) Sacchetti of Hastings; grandchildren Andrew (Ashley), Greg, Jacob Joey Werner; Patrick (Stephanie), John (Kelli), David (Heidi) Daly; Jamie (Ryan) Hanford, Beau, Zach Sam Werner; Svetlana, Luda, Alla Marcus Traun; Ernest Hanna; Anna Michael Sacchetti; great grandchildren Alison, Caitlin Matthew Hanford and Nellie Daly; a sister Martha (Melvin) Birk of Hastings and a brother Lawrence (Lorraine) Werner of Hastings. Visitation is Wednesday August 29, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 Seventh Street East, Hastings and also on Thursday 1 hour before the funeral at the church. The Funeral Mass officiated by Fr. Martin Siebenaler will be 10:30 AM Thursday, August 30, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion, MN. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
