Ermelinda C. Rother

Ermelinda C. Rother, age 91, of Hastings, formerly of Vermillion, MN died Sunday, November 23, 2008. Ermelinda was born October 29, 1917 in Ravenna Township to Joseph and Anna (Leifeld) Foss. She married Albert Rother on September 23, 1941 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings.She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1994, her parents, brothers Henry and Edwin, sisters Theresa Wollmering, Eleanor Langenfeld, Florence Schweich, and infant sister Anna Foss. Ermelinda is survived by her daughters Diane Gehrke (George) of Vermillion, Joan Kuehn (Dave) of Hastings, Pat Drahos (Greg) of Hastings, Lois Dornseif (Dave) of New Prague, Irene Leach (Charlie) of Waseca, Joyce Norgard (Steve) of St. Paul, Theresa Komorouski (Randy) of Rosemount; sister Delores Boyle of Seattle, WA; her 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Loretta Foss of Hastings.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Joseph Arackal will be held at10:30am Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at ST. JOHN�S CATHOLIC CHURCH in VERMILLION. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings, and also 1 hour prior to Wednesday service at the church. The pallbearers are her grandsons Phillip Norgard, Scott Komorouski, Eric Komorouski, Adam Leach, Nick Dornseif, Derek Kuehn, and Mark Gehrke. The honorary pallbearers are Virginia Beissel, Betty Gergen, Ann Stoffel, Linda Stoffel, and Rose Tix.
