Ellen J. Mcclellan

Ellen J. McClellan, age 79 of South St. Paul, formerly of Hastings, MN, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her residence.Ellen Jeanne was born June 22, 1937 in St. Paul to Patrick and Mary (Hayford) Conroy. She was a high school graduate and attended college courses. Ellen first worked for Transamerica and later helped with the developmentally disabled as a home healthcare aide. She loved cats, the outdoors, crocheting, and knitting. Ellen also enjoyed traveling with her significant other, Keller, and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Michael and four siblings, Delbert, Roseann "Sis", Patricia and Frank "Bud".Ellen is survived by her five children, Terence (Lisa) McClellan of Rochester, Gayle (Eugene) Dupuis of Clearwater, FL, Sean McClellan, Mary (Marty) Coonrod and Jeannie (Rand) Donker, all of Hastings; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Megan), Eric (Jaclyn), Elizabeth (Justin), Erin, Scott (Amy), Amanda, Garret, Curtis and Hayley; also several great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Bettenberg, and her significant other for over 28 years, William Keller of Hastings.A Celebration of Ellens Life will be held 5 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Monday evening.
