Elizabeth Zweber

Elizabeth Zweber, age 96 of Hastings died Sunday, November 3, 2013. Elizabeth was born March 25, 1917 in Gladstone, ND to Peter and Anna (Bayer) Simon. She was a graduate of New Leipzig High School in ND and married Maurice P. Zweber in ND on October 10, 1939. Elizabeth was a member of SEAS Parish for over 70 years and held memberships with the Daughters of Isabella, Regina Hospital Auxiliary, and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maurice; brothers Joe and Matt Simon and sister Kate Feiler. Elizabeth is survived by her seven children Marianne (Ted) Dudley of Minnetonka Beach, MN, Agnes Goeb of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Maurice (Donna) Zweber Jr. of Columbia, KY, Carol Lively of LaCrosse, WI, Rita Molitor of Miesville, Thomas �Hunse� (Beth) Zweber and Deborah Lundell, both of Hastings; 15 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; sister Ann Loh of Valley City, ND. The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 10 AM Friday, November 8 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St, Hastings. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings and 8:30 AM Friday until time of service. Pallbearers are grandsons Jim Dudley, Brad Goeb, Brian Molitor, Brent Molitor, David Zweber, Douglas Lively, and Daniel Lively.
