Elizabeth “Lizzi” Rachelle Carlson, age 31, of Apple Valley, MN, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.
It is with deepest sorrow that we, the Carlson Family announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Elizabeth. Lizzi was born in Edina, Minnesota, on November 14, 1993, to Daniel and Yvonne (Cline) Carlson. Lizzi was a member of the class of 2012 at Rosemount High School. Lizzi’s zest for life was especially displayed during her time as a fearless athlete of the Rosemount High School Cheerleading Squad from 2008 to 2011. Lizzi loved mastering the sport challenges in cheer, having creative adventures, making friends, and taking in strays. Lizzi worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for many years.
Both remarkable talent and profound challenges marked Lizzi's life. As a gifted artist and incredible athlete, she showcased her creativity and determination in various pursuits. However, her struggles with opioid dependence ultimately led to her untimely passing. Despite the complexities of her life, Lizzi's loved ones remember her for her unique spirit, love for music and parties, and the impact she had on those around her. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and granddaughter.
Lizzi was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Jane Carlson; and her grandfathers, Russell Sanford Carlson and Paul Edward Cline Sr.
She is survived by her son, Jude; her parents, Daniel Russell and Yvonne Rachelle Carlson; six siblings, Jacob Carlson (Andrea), Sarah Carlson, Kara Quiram (William), Joshua Carlson, Helen Carlson, and Jeremy Carlson; nieces, Mercedes and Julia; nephews, Bradshaw, Cassius, and Cato; and grandmother, Georgia Mae Campbell.
