Elizabeth "Beth" Hecimovich

Elizabeth I. (Melby) Hecimovich, age 90, of Hastings died October 28, 2010 at Augustana Health Care Center. Beth was born June 23, 1920 in Spicer, MN to John and Edna (Erickson) Melby. She was a 1938 graduate of Hastings High School and served as a WAC during WWII. She married Daniel Hecimovich on July 5, 1947 in Milbank, SD and resided in Babbitt and Ely, MN for many years. Beth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel; five siblings Lee and Russ Melby, Linnea Lundin, Lois McNamara, and Janet Johnson. She is survived by sisters JoAnn McNamara and Joyce (Art) Hoffmann, both of Hastings; also numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Doug Duin will be held 2pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at Our Saviour�s Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Ninth Street, Hastings, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. The pallbearers are John and Jim Hoffman, Ted, Dan, Jim, and Jeff McNamara. Private interment in Lakeside Cemetery will be held at a later date.
