Elizabeth Mary Beissel
April 4, 1937 – April 13, 2026
Elizabeth Mary Beissel, lovingly known as Liz, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at Cannon Rivers Senior Living at the age of 89.
Liz was born on April 4, 1937, in Albertville, Minnesota, to Isador and Martha (Nee Gilles) Endres. After graduating from high school, she moved to Hastings, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.
In 1958, Liz married Richard (Dick) Keetley, who tragically passed away in August that same year in a car accident. In 1960, she married Robert (Bob) Beissel, and together they created a loving home and raised their family.
Liz was a devoted mother to her children: Lynn (Kevin) Bendt, Mary (Bill) Spies, Steven Beissel, and Roger (Laura) Beissel. She was a proud grandmother to Garrett, Ashley, Shauna, Kelly, and Josh, and a cherished great-grandmother to Lilli, Olen, Kinsley, Toula, and Lyla. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is survived by her siblings Janice Holland, Leo Endres, and Paul Endres, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, parents, Isador and Martha Endres, and her siblings Lawrence Endres and Janet Middagh.
Liz dedicated many years of her life to caring for her family as a homemaker before working as an assistant manager at Dueber’s Drug Store, where she became known for her kindness, reliability, and friendly smile. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden, and supporting Project Share. Liz had a generous spirit and a quiet strength that touched the lives of many.
Liz will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to her family, and the steady love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hastings. Burial will take place immediately following the service at SEAS Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow back at the church.
