Eleanore Delores Gorder

Gorder, Eleanore Delores Died in the embrace of her family in Mpls. on Feb. 11, 2006. She was born May 18, 1924, in Starbuck, MN to Arnold & Jennie Sylvester. She married Carsten, her high school sweetheart, following his return from service in WWII. They had nearly 60 years together before his death last May. She is survived by daughters, Cathy (Mike) Mazyck, Karen (Steve) Weeks, Annette (Jaak) Karner and Kris (Brian) Robb; grandchildren, Laney (Jake) Levine and Liza Mazyck, Sarah and Seth Weeks, Jon and Ben Karner, Megan and Madeline Robb; great-grandchildren, Cirrus Montez and Amira Eleanore Levine. She is also survived by her brother, Arvid (Eunice) Sylvester and sister, Marilyn (Bob) DuBois and their families. Eleanore was a long-time member of Our Saviour’s and Bethel Lutheran Churches. “Life can be the same after a trinket has been lost, but never after the loss of a treasure.” Funeral service Thursday, Feb. 16, 1:00 PM, Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16th Ave. & 41st St. Visitation Wednesday, 6:30-8:00 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S. and 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Ft. Snelling. Memorials may be given to Bethel Lutheran Church.
