Eleanor Plumb

Eleanor E. 'Ellie” Loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma Age 85 of Eagan, formerly of White Bear Lake Ellie died after a long illness on February 20, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harlan; children Cathy (Greg) Seehuetter, Donald (Shirley) Plumb; Paul (Rebecca) Plumb; and Nancy (John) Schmidt; grandchildren Lisa, Amy, Dan, Sarah, Erick, Kristina, Nora, and Nick; great-grandchildren Jett, Ethan, Olivia, Ellie, Flynn, Maia, Nathanial, Benjamin & Samuel; sisters Marilyn Schlosser, Linda Davis, and Christine O’Dwanny and brother, Charles Nelson, many relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Elsie Nelson, and granddaughter Nina Westmoreland. Ellie was a kind loving soul and patient listener with a sweet and gentle disposition. A friend to all, she was described by many as their “hero”. To know Ellie was to love her; she will be greatly missed by those of us who do. Ellie’s family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at The Commons on Marice, as well as the Allina Hospice team for the compassion and comforting care given to her. At Ellie and Harlan’s request, there will not be a funeral service. If you would like to remember Ellie with a memorial, please donate in her name to the nonprofit or charity of your choice.
