Edward L. Erichsen

September 17, 1940 — November 16, 2021

Edward L. “Bud” Erichsen, age 81, died peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, Nov. 16th, 2021. He served in the Navy and had many stories from those days. He was a boiler engineer for many years, his last post was at Como Zoo. In his younger years, he raced motorcycles. He loved his cars, watching car shows, watching football, and eating at Perkins. Before he got sick, he was building a gas-powered bicycle. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, wife Victoria Erichsen, brother in-law Bernard Baehr and 3 brothers. He is survived by brother John (Jane) Erichsen; sister Merry Kole; brothers-in-law Steve Baehr (Patricia) and Greg Baehr (Patti); sister- in-law Glenda Baehr; daughter Melissa “Missy” Erichsen; son Edward “Skip” Erichsen Jr.; grandchildren Alex Wilson and Adam Wilson as well as several nephews, a niece, and friends. Service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in the spring of 2022. Arrangements are being handled by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
