Edna M. Ohmann

Edna M. Ohmann, age 98, of Hastings, died January 17, 2011 at Regina Nursing Home. Edna was born June 6, 1912 on the home farm in Rich Valley to Walter and Eleanor (Schaar) Volkert. She married Fred Ohmann on June 12, 1937. They were lifelong farmers near Coates, and cared for five foster children. Edna was a lifelong member of St. John�s Lutheran Church - Rich Valley, and the Ladies Aid. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Irma Wiediger, Frances Chamberlain, Leonora Volkert and Harold Volkert. Edna is survived by many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. John M. Moe, will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 22, 2011 at St. John�s Lutheran Church - Rich Valley, 14385 Blaine Ave., Rosemount, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow at St. John�s Cemetery. The pallbearers are Richard Volkert, Jon Olson, William Ohmann, Kenneth Groth, Kevin Yager, and David Boyum.
