Dr. Raphael J. "Doc" Hogy

Raphael J. “Doc” Hogy, age 88 of Minneapolis, born November 25, 1916 in Cyrus, MN, passed away gently July 12, 2005. He was a dentist in Minneapolis until his retirement in 1982. He was an honest and humble man who deeply loved his family, his friends, and God. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie and daughter, Dr. Lora Hogy. Raphael is survived by his daughter, Dawn McGovern (Robert) of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Timothy (Jeannie) of Shakopee, MN and Daniel (Marney) of Olympia, WA. Great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nora, and expected in August, Gage; nieces, nephews, and many close friends, including the choir at Hope Lutheran Church. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2005, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 5728 Cedar Ave. So., Minneapolis. Private interment, Ft. Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
