Douglas E. Bauer, age 65 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice.

Doug was born on September 2, 1959, in Hastings, Minnesota, to Gregory and Isabel (Ahrendt) Bauer. He was a proud graduate of Hastings High School and later attended meat cutting school, where he found his lifelong trade. Doug worked faithfully as a meat cutter for 38 years, first with Rainbow Foods and later with Cub Foods, where he built lasting friendships and a reputation for being dependable and hardworking.

In 2005, Doug met Alianna Ocampo, and the two were married on May 16, 2007. Together for nearly 20 years, Doug and Alianna shared a deep bond and enjoyed simple pleasures—dining out, singing karaoke, and spending time in each other’s company. Doug had a quick wit, a kind heart, and a steady presence. He was a good provider and a loyal companion.

Doug had a lifelong love for baseball and enjoyed following all kinds of sports. He treasured time with family and will be remembered for his warm sense of humor and generous spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Alianna Bauer; siblings, Judy (Carl) Anderson, Wayne (Chris) Bauer, Alice (John) Mostrom, and Albert Bauer; stepdaughters, Darling and Sweetie; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Isabel; sister, Kay Glaus (Bauer); and nephew, Randy Birk.

Private services will be held at a later date.
