Dorothy Theresia Walz

Dorothy Theresia Walz, 84, of Burnsville, passed away Tuesday, July 9 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in St. Anthony, Minnesota on June 18, 1929 to Frank and Henrietta (nee Rademacher) Ostendorf. Dorothy is survived by her son James (Sandra) Walz, daughter Barbara (James) Briant, grandchildren Lindsay (Derek) Bell, Derek Walz, Brittany and Heather Briant, Michael (Kim) and Steven Walz, great-grandchildren Madilynn and Myla Bell and Mason Walz, brothers Boniface (Hilda) and Elmer (Joyce) Ostendorf, and sister Mary Ann (Gerald) Kalla. Preceding Dorothy in death were her husband Eugene, son David, brothers Arnold and Lawrence, and sisters Francis and Beatrice. Dorothy loved Bingo and playing cards. Her nurturing heart for serving others was lived out in her incredible cooking and planning get-togethers. Dorothy will be forever loved and treasured. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11 AM Monday, July 15 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, with Visitation starting at 10 AM. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
