Dorothy Marie Rivenburg

Dorothy Rivenburg, age 95, was born in Chicago on June 4, 1920 to Edward and Rose Strnad. When she was 4 the family moved to Berwyn. She graduated from Jay Sterling Morton High School in 1938 and later went to Business College for 1 year. While working in Chicago she attended night classes at Moody Bible Institute. She moved to Minneapolis in 1945 and attended Northwestern Bible School, graduating in 1948. She met Floyd Rivenburg and were married in August of 1950. Their only child, Paul, was born in 1955. Floyd died in 1959 and Dorothy went to work for Lindquist and Vennum from 1960 to 1986 as a legal secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Edward and sister, Mildred. She is survived by her son, Paul (Delores); grandsons, Mark (Erin) and Scott; 1 nephew and his spouse and 4 nieces and their spouses. Memorial service 7pm, Friday, Sept. 11th at Henry W. Anderson, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with a gathering of family and friends 1 hour prior to the service. Private interment Hillside Cemetery.
