Dorothy M. Loesch

Dorothy M. Loesch, age 98, of Hastings, passed away peacefully at Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Prescott, WI on May 15, 2020. She was born in Havre, MT on August 16, 1921 to Frank and Gertrude (O'Keefe) Miller. Dorothy grew up in Belchester and graduated from Goodhue High School in 1939. At age 20 she became a Beautician. She married Arnold Loesch on January 10, 1942. Dorothy was a Beautician for 70 years, having the longest held Beauticians license in Minnesota. Besides the shops she had on her own or with her sister, Ruth Bremer, she also styled hair for the Caturia Funeral Home. At the age of 80, she opened her shop at the new Oak Ridge Assisted Living. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Loesch; son, Kenneth Loesch; granddaughter, Nancy; sisters, Marion Peine, Bernice Sherry, Emaline Hamilton, and brother, Raymond Miller. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Judy (Louie) Langenfeld, Mary (Larry) Yoswa, Joyce (Dan) Ostendorf, and Joann (Ron) Otto; son, Nicholas (Shirley) Loesch; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; siblings, Jean McGree, Ruth Bremer, and Audrey Connolly; sister in law, Joan Miller; many other relatives and friends. A private family service will be held at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. The Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel is serving the family.
