Dorothy M. Brochman

Dorothy M. Brochman, age 77, of Vermillion, passed away at home on January 25, 2021. She was born in New Trier on August 2, 1943 to Columbus and Mary Freiermuth. She married Raymond Brochman Sept 15, 1962 at St. Mary's Church in New Trier. Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed bowling and was on three leagues at one time. She loved cooking, fishing with Ray, and camping trips with family and friends. She and Ray would often host card parties at the farm and go on spontaneous road trips or cruising in the 59 Ford. Dorothy could be found either refinishing old furniture or attending her grandchildren's school events. She was preceded death by her husband, Raymond; parents, Columbus and Mary Freiermuth; siblings, Columbus Jr., Robert, William Freiermuth, and Lorraine Werner. Dorothy is survived by her children, Kevin (Joan), Steve (Laura), Bonnie (Mike) Rapp, Mike (Tammi), and Vicky (Rob) McCallum; grandchildren, Sam (Alex), Sarah (Trent), Krista (David), Ryan, Brooklyn, Lukas, Dan (Katy), Kayla (Jenni), Dennis (Brieanna), Cassie (Mandy), Jessica (Corey), Holly (Matt), Noah (Maria), Max, Ryan (Jordan), Marissa (Cody), Adam (Afton) and Matthew; great grandchildren, Cole, Reagan, Odin, Halden, Jaxten, Dennis, Savannah, Harrison, Carson and Hadley; siblings, Mary Ann Otto, Rosalie (Gerald) Rother, Edward (Cindy) Freiermuth and Donald Freiermuth; and many other relatives and friends. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
