Dorothy H. Sieben

Dorothy H. Sieben, age 82 of Hastings, died peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Colby Lake Care Home in Woodbury following an extended illness. Dorothy Harriet, the daughter of Truman and Hazel (Wakefield) Stull, was born on May 8, 1933 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Following her graduation from Red Wing High School, Dorothy was united in marriage to Edwin J. Sieben on January 23, 1952 in Hampton. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; children, Jean Sieben and Gary Sieben; and by her siblings, Beverly Hamilton and Arthur Stull. Dorothy is survived by her children, Laurie Pacheco of Denver, NC, and Mike (Tammie) Sieben of Hastings; her daughter-in-law, Susan Sieben of Frenchtown, MT; her ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; her sister, Betty Ryan; and by many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., Hastings, with Father T. J. McKenzieofficiating. Interment will be heldin the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh St., Hastings and also for one hour prior to Mass at church on Wednesday.
