Dorothy G, age 90, of Burnsville, MN and Kansas City, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Dorothy was born on March 24, 1918. She was a humorous. elegant and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, relative and friend. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ole & Josephine Benson; her brother, Howard Benson and her beloved husband of 65 years, Gene Hamlin. She leaves behind two sons, Gene Jr. and Jerry; daughter, Kathy (Mike) Crum; grandchildren, Chris Crum, Karin (Joe) Andrade, Jennifer (Dan) Nichols, Maren (Pete) Peterson, and Betsy Willey; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob, Elijah, Emma, Avery, Alexandra and Ruby; sister, Berniece (Stan) Felth of Biloxi, MS; sister-in-law, Janet Benson of Cedar Falls, IA and nieces and nephews. Funeral services Friday, January 16 at 11 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, 8700 Cedar Ave South, Bloomington, MN with her visitation Thursday from 5:30 – 7:30 PM in Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment. Memorial preferred to the American Heart Association.
