Dorothy A. Reuter

Dorothy A. Reuter, age 68 of Woodbury, passed away peacefully at her home at Woodbury Health Care Center on Saturday morning, May 27, 2017, following an extended illness. Dorothy Ann, the daughter of Raymond and Josephine (Meyers) Reuter, was born on June 23, 1948, in Hastings, and later graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1966. Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews. She also loved a nice cold Diet Pepsi and all of the staff and residents at Woodbury Health Care Center where she has been residing for the last few years. She always looked forward to her Friday visits from her sister Lu, but hated playing scrabble with her! She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, David and Jerry; and by her brothers-in-law, Ed Rother and Jay Tieber. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Rother, Maxine Tieber, Lu (Dick) Rogers, Jim (Barb) Reuter, Larry (Jeanne) Reuter, and Sharon Houlihan; her sister-in-law, Donna Reuter; her many nieces and nephews; and by other relatives and friends. A private family memorial service will take place at Woodbury Health Care Center at a later date. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her parents at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery in Hastings. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings.
