Dora K. Kasel

Dora K. Kasel, age 96, of Vermillion, died Monday, February 9, 2009 at the Regina Medical Center in Hastings.Dora was born in New Trier on July 3, 1912 to Mathias and Anna (Siebenaler) Reinardy. She married Anthony Joseph Kasel on October 15, 1935 in New Trier and they farmed in the Vermillion areatheir entire lives.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony, granddaughter Shirley Kasel, and 7 siblings. Dora is survived by 9 children, Janet (Bill) McNamara, Kenneth (Alvenia) Kasel, Anthony (Mary) Kasel all of Hastings, Judith (Leon) Zweber of New Market, Jane (Gary) Eberspacher of Hastings, Mary (Donald) Haas of Inver Grove Heights, Bernadette (James) Kautio of Olathe, KS, Theodore (Kay) Kasel of Inver Grove Heights, and Jim (Leslie) Kasel of Farmington; her sister Lucy Ashbaucher of Hastings; also 31 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral mass, officiated by Fr. Joseph Arackal will be held at 10:30am Thursday, February 12, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion, with a visitation held at the church after 9:00am. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Nick Kasel, Tom Haas, Tom Kasel, Chris Zweber, Bill McNamara, Matt Kasel, Mike Kasel, and Derek Kautio. Memorials are preferred to the St. John�s School Building Fund in Vermillion.
