Donald W. Legg

Donald W. Legg, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, age 71 of Hastings died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Regina Medical Center in Hastings, MN. Donald was born May 22, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harry and Jessie (Ebright) Legg. After serving in the U.S. Army, he married Elisabeth Stoppel in 1965. Donald retired after more than 30 years from Tetra Pak in Minneapolis in 2003. His passions included fishing and boating in northern Minnesota and on the St. Croix, and he dearly loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Donald is survived by his wife Elisabeth; two children: Eddie and Bella (Scot) Walstrom; eight grandchildren: Aaron, Carissa, Rachel, Jared, Molly, Brandi, Karlee and Riley; six great-grandchildren: Kayla, Deanna, Brody, Lucas, Cooper and Andrew; two sisters: Waneta (Tom) Schafer and Judy (Bruce) Hemmingson; also a niece, nephews, and many good friends. A Memorial Gathering for Donald will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 4-6 PM at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
