Donald "Tim" Lynch

Donald “Tim” Lynch, age 81, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital in St. Paul on May 5, 2017. He was born on May 27, 1935, in St. Paul, MN to Timothy and Cecelia Lynch. Don graduated from Hastings High School in 1954. He was united in marriage to Corrine (Bakken) on August 4, 1956 and just celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage last fall. He was blessed with five children. Tim worked at 3M Chemolite in Cottage Grove for 40 years. Tim’s passions were spending time with his grandchildren and taking them for tractor rides on his lawnmower. He loved to be outside, fiddle in his garage and mow his big yard. Tim also enjoyed going to the cabin, fishing, and his favorite thing was taking Corrine, family and his co-pilot Fluffy, out for that special pontoon ride. Every Tuesday was cards at the Senior Center and the card games, with Corrine, kids and grandkids for “a half”. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene Carnel and Barb Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Corrine; children, Chris (Brad) Haese, Mark (Gwen) Lynch, Donald Lynch (fiance, Beth), Cindy (Mark) Wolff, Randy (Becky) Lynch; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Johnson; brothers, Dave (Sue) Lynch and Win (Veronica) Lynch; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father T.J. McKenzie, will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St in Hastings. A visitation will be held Monday, May 8th from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring Street in Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers are Mark Wolff, Brad Haese, Wayne Johnson, John Niederkorn, Riley Lynch, Derek Lynch and Josh Miller. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery. The Wise Family Funeral Home is serving the family.
