Donald Richard Dorn

Donald Richard Dorn, 85, of Apple Valley, passed away Wednesday surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 10, 1929 in Minneapolis to Robert and Milinda Dorn. Donald served his country in the United States Navy and Army as a Paratrooper. He loved to hunt, fish, and cook. Donald was meticulous, wise, a very good cook, and treasured being with his family and friends. He will be forever loved and missed. Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nina, son John Dorn, daughter Donna Burbank, granddaughters Katie (Rick) and Karie, and sister Marilee Dorn. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom. Memorial Services are scheduled for Noon Monday, October 20 at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, with a Gathering of Family and Friends starting at 11:30 AM. Memorials are preferred.
