Donald J. Hovend

Hovend ATTN: UAW #879 Donald J., of Mound, recently of S. Mpls., passed away Sept. 28, 2005 at the age of 92. Retired in 1971 from the Ford Assembly Plant in St. Paul after 32 years of service. Don was a WWII Veteran, played piano and did watercolor painting for a hobby. Preceded in death by loving wife of 56 years, Isabelle. Survived by sister, Dorothy & her children, Virginia, Kristin and Holly; sister-in-law, Betty & her children, Greg (Val), Kathy, Kim (Duane) and Gail (Mike); many other relatives and friends. Service Monday 12:30 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave S. Visitation one hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling. A heartfelt thanks to N.C. Little Hospice for their compassionate care in Don’s final days. A special thank you to Dr. James Laroy for his kindness and caring way. We will always remember Don for being a kind and gentle person. He will be dearly missed.
