Donald Berg

Don was born August 19, 1937 in Cannon Falls to Lars and Marie (Njos) Berg. He was united in marriage to Patricia Krech on August 26, 1961 at First English Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. He was a welder and millwright who worked for Donaldson�s Incorporated for 24 years. Don enjoyed golfing and bowling and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Ida, Mabel, Jeanette, Ervin, Leanard, Doris and Marlene. Don is survived by his wife Patricia, children Deanna (Gregg) Granstrom of Woodburyand Donald (Debra) Berg Jr. of New River, AZ; grandchildren Jason, Joel, Cole, Dylan and Dalton; siblings Caroline Himes of Cannon Falls, Oscar Berg of Cannon Falls, Louise Hagen of Starbuck and Evelyn Voser of Richfield. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Phillip Ruud, will be 11AM Saturday, December 18, 2010 at First English Lutheran Church, 511 W. Belle St., Cannon Falls. The visitation will be 4-8PM Friday, December 17, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, andalso one hour prior to the service at church.Pallbearers are Gregg Granstrom, Jason Berg, Joel Granstrom and Cole Granstrom.
