Donald A., age 78, of Apple Valley, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet; and parents, Otto and Freda Fodness. Don is survived by his children, Kirsten and Eric; two brothers, Harold “Norm” (Helen) and Robert (Grace); a sister, Dorothy Carbone; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Don was a veteran of the US Navy and worked for over 30 years at Unisys as an electrical engineer before retiring. He was also a long time member of Mt Calvary Lutheran Church. His funeral service will be Thursday at 11 AM in Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, 3930 Rahn Road, Eagan with his visitation Wednesday night 5-8 PM in the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
