Dolores Myers

Dolores Myers, 92, of Hastings, Minnesota passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Regina TCU, with family by her side. Dolores was born January 18, 1930 to Frederick and Flossie (Plocker) Grotjohn in Morris, Minnesota and attended school in Morris. On August 8, 1949, Dolores married Al Myers and together raised their 9 children at the country home. Dee Dee was a dedicated mother for many years and worked 32 years at the County Point, coffee shop. She enjoyed reading in her free moments, her "sister trips" across the states, summer cabin time with family and any moment she got to be with with her grandchildren. Her apple pies and fried chicken will be greatly missed. Dolores is survived by her children, Gloria (George) Murphy, Charlene Martin, Pam (Ken) Fritz, David (Lily) Myers, Gary (Cheryl) Myers, Bob (Linda) Myers, Kevin (Mary) Myers, Laurie Myers and Lynn Hanken; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Wright, Carol Estrada, Sharon Tix, Sandy (James) Robinson, Susan (Bruce) Tjomsland other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Al; grandson, Shawn Murphy; brother, James Grotjohn, infant brother and 5 year old brother. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with visitation from 9:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the service. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hastings. Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel is assisting the family.
