Diane M. Radke

Diane M. Radke, age 66, of Hastings, passed away at home January 5, 2012. She was born in Hastings to Fritz and Theresa (Werner) Loesch on June 15, 1945. Diane married Jack Radke on October 12, 1968 at Guardian Angles Catholic Church in Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School and attended Nursing School before working as a Nurse in Hastings for more than 20 years. Following her Nursing career, she owned and operated of Trophies Plus from 1986 until the day that preceded her death. Diane enjoyed her grandchildren above all else. She enjoyed following their athletic and school achievements as well as spending time at Maddens each year. When she was not with friends, having a great time, Diane was committed to serving the Hastings community, thus earning the Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the year in 2005. Above all, Diane will be missed because of her strong commitment to her community, friends and especially her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Diane is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jack; son, Brian (Melany) Radke; grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlin; siblings, Donna (Dick) Rother; Char (Willie) Wutschke; and Bruce (Brandi) Loesch; many other relatives and friends.Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father James Perkl, will be held on Monday (1/9) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. Visitation will be Sunday (1/8) from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to mass on Monday. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ryan Rother; Jody Iverson; Dustin Strong; Chad Carlson; Tara Carlson and Tia Loesch. Honorary Pallbearers are Kris Rother; Suzanne Werner; Kathy O'Connell; Paulette Rymer; Toots Schmitz; Jackie Rother; Renee' Lucking; Cheri Harp and Terry Lynn Cavalier.
