Diana Margaret Langenfeld

September 2, 1938 – November 20, 2025

Age 87

With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Diana Margaret Langenfeld, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher, mentor, and dear friend to so many.

Diana was born on September 2, 1938, and was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard (Bernie) Henry Langenfeld; son, Aaron Langenfeld; her parents, Nellie (Buckwalter) Jaff and Lawrence Jaff; her sisters Vonnie Jaff and Helen Jaff; and her brothers Robert Jaff and John Jaff. She is survived by her brother Tom Jaff.

Diana leaves a legacy of love through her children and their families:

Children, Jonel Langenfeld, Pamela (Brian) Uphus, Chris (Gwen) Langenfeld, Maria (Michael) Leonard, Josh (Stacy Pike-Langenfeld) Langenfeld; grandchildren, Jake, Dalton (Mikayla), Kathryn, Noah, Samuel, Nicolas, Eddie, Jack, Ally and Ava; great-grandchildren, Carson and Brooks; and many other relatives and friends.

Diana lived a full and vibrant life. She was once crowned North Dakota Dairy Princess, a title that reflected her grace, warmth, and poise. She was also an accomplished crafter, gardener, and seamstress who loved to make things for others.

Her smile could light up any room, and she cherished dancing with her beloved husband, Bernie. Raising five children kept her life full and joyful. Her many years working with 4-H youth were among her most cherished experiences, and she poured her heart into directing and singing in church choirs. Later in life, Diana discovered a new passion in the Hastings, Minnesota theater community, where she loved being on stage and sharing her gift for performance.

Her faith in Jesus guided every step of her life. Above all, Diana valued her roles as Wife and Mother. She loved Bernie fiercely, and her children were the pride and joy of her life.

Diana will forever be a light in the lives of those who knew her. She will be profoundly missed.

Mom, we know you are dancing through heaven with Dad. We love you and miss you so much.
