Deryl W. Watson, age 80, of Newport, passed away December 3, 2017 at Regions Hospital. He was born on February 25, 1937 in St. Charles, Minnesota to Sidney & Mildred (Gleason) Watson. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Darren Watson; stepson, Terry Westman; sister, Shirley Perrault. Deryl is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Watson; children, Rachelle Schultz; Janette Emerson; Sherri (Randy) Brady-Zitur; Grandchildren, Jeri Watson; Sarah Brady; 5 Great Grandchildren; sister, Arlene (Tom) Peterson; brother, Gary (Pat) Watson; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Steve Schoenwald, will be held Friday (12/8) at 11:00 a.m. at River of Life Church, 800 Vermillion St., Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Military Honors will be provided by Lyle Russell VFW Post 1210 from Hastings.
