Dennis W. Blesener

Dennis W. Blesener, age 83 of Hastings, died peacefully on Thursday morning, December 3, 2020, at Woodbury Healthcare Center following a recent battle with Covid-19. Dennis William, the son of Felix and Genevieve (Peterson) Blesener, was born on July 18, 1937, in Northfield. Following his graduation from Northfield High School with the class of 1955, Dennis briefly continued his education briefly at St. Cloud State University before transferring to the University of Minnesota. He then enlistedin the United States Navy on August 13, 1957 and was later granted an Honorable Discharge on July 25, 1959. On August 29, 1964, Dennis was united in marriage to Kathleen "Kathy" Peine at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier. Dennis was a longtime owner of Clean Carpet Company. He enjoyed being active with the Red Wing Kiwanis and Toastmasters International in both Hastings and Red Wing, and also enjoyed golfing with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Mary Blesener and Lawrence Blesener. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children, Sherie Williams (Tony Perkl) and Mark (Kim) Blesener; grandchildren, Miranda Blesener and Brendan Williams; brother, George (Kris) Blesener; and by other relatives and friends. Private family graveside services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery in Hastings.
