Dennis was born September 14, 1945 in Alexandria, MN to William and Wilma (Steffens) Lichtsinn. He attended the Zion Lutheran Church School for grades 1-8 and attended Jefferson High School. After graduation he joined the Navy. Dennis spent the last six years of his life in Hastings, MN where he and his wife made their home and started their Smart Ride business � a business he was very proud of. He not only loved his business, but his customers. He will be sadly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father William, brothers Donald and Marvin, sister Ardelle Floding and twin sister Dianne Radford. Dennis is survived by his wife Joy of Hastings; mother Wilma Lichtsinn of Glenwood; sister LaVonne (Bryan) Larsen; sons Chad, Sean, Jason, and Nathan (Lindsay) Lichtsinn; daughter Yvette Slack; step children James (Patty), Michael (Cheryl), Adam (Courtney), Matthew (Anna), Joshua (Amanda), Alice (Cory), Sarah (Jeremy); mother-in-law LaVerne Exger; also 24 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and dear friend Jeannie Evans. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Ed. Frederick will be held 11am Friday, September 2, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West FifteenthSt., Hastings. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Thursday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E.Seventh St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Services will also be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home, 122 First Ave. N.E., Glenwood, MN 56334 followed by interment in the Evergreen Cemetery in Alexandria, MN. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
