Delphina "Del" Schiller

Delphina "Del" Schiller, age 83 of Hampton, died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Delphina C., the daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Siebenaler) Beissel, was born on January 11, 1933 in Hampton. On October 15, 1955, Del was united in marriage to Joseph Schiller at St. Marys Catholic Church. She served many years as Hampton Postmaster and retired in 1992. Del was also an avid gardener and baker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph, son, Joseph; great-granddaughter, Kylee; brothers Arthur and Godfrey Beissel. Del is survived by her children, Dorothy (John) Feidt, Jim (Linda) Schiller, Steve (Deb) Schiller, and Anita (Gene) Meyers; also 13 grandchildren and 14 plus one great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Mary) Beissel and Robert (Marion) Beissel; sister, Mary Ann Beyer; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Hampton, with Father Cole Kracke officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, Hastings, and will continue for one hour prior to Mass at church on Friday.
