DeLores Laverne Wessman (Custer), age 96 of Burnsville, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 16, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Warren; son, Richard; siblings, James, Milton, Amos, Donald, Wayne, Dean, Pearl, Evelyn, and Genevieve.
Survived by her children, Kern (Debbie), Barry (Brenda), Debbie (Gary) Moen, Randy, and Terry; daughter-in-law, Shelley; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
DeLores’ personal relationship with her Lord and Saviour was of utmost importance to her. She was a prayer warrior and an active, long-time member of Berean Baptist Church. DeLores loved playing games, sewing, gardening, and was a wonderful cook. After her retirement, her and her husband, Warren, loved to travel and winter in Florida. She was a very social person and kept in touch with many of her high school classmates. She cherished spending time with her family and loved ones.
Memorial Service at 11am on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Berean Baptist Church, 309 Co. Rd. 42 E., Burnsville, with visitation starting at 9:30am. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials preferred to Berean Baptist Church or Samaritan’s Purse.
