Delores "Laurie" Lawrence

Delores "Laurie" Lawrence, age 94 of Welch, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, May 5, 2020, at Regina Senior Living in Hastings. Delores L. Von Bargen, was born on January 23, 1926, in Goodhue County where she lived most of her life. At 94 years of age, Laurie never lost her sense of humor or spunk. In her later years, she enjoyed the simple things in life: her iPad, weekly visits to the salon, lunch with her dwindling group of friends, and of course, dinner at Wiederholts. Most of all, she cherished her six "boys" and their families. Laurie will forever be missed by her family and friends. Although Laurie and PW are no longer here, the family bond they have built will live on for generations. She was preceded in death by the love of her life for 67 years and husband, Paul "PW". Laurie is survived by her six sons, Mitch (Debbie) Lawrence, John Lawrence, Tom (Debbie) Lawrence, David (Sharon) Lawrence, Swede (Dana) Lawrence, and Don (Denise) Lawrence; thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends. A private family service was held at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. The Lawrence Family wishes to thank all of the staff at Regina Senior Living for their compassionate care they gave to Laurie in these troubled times. The family also requests that memorials be directed to the donor's choice in memory of Laurie. In this unprecedented time, please say a prayer for all and keep your loved ones close and safe.
