Debra Jo Carlson Schulz

Debra Jo Carlson Schulz, age 53, of Hastings, passed away Feb. 17, 2010 at her home. Debra was born September 27, 1956 in Brtton, SD to Melvin and Janice Carlson. She married Timothy Schulz in South St. Paul on July 7, 1990. She worked for DARTS from 1984 - 1997, Midwest of Cannon Falls from 1997 - 2001, then worked part time at Red Wing shoes from 2001 - 2005. She was an active member in the Hastings Breast Cancer Society and loved gardening and playing pool. She will be sadly missed by her extended Ohana in Hawaii. She is preceded in death by her brother, Dirk. Debra is survived by her husband Tim Schulz of Hastings; daughter, Angela (Gordon) Broff of Hawaii; father, Wayne Carlson of Hastings; and mother, Janice Anderson of Hastings; step daughter, Charmel (Jeff) Grisham of Independence, MO; step son, Joel Schulz (Kathy Lyons) of Kansas City, MO; step daughter, Mikaela Schultz of Conde, SD: grandchildren, Samantha; Drew ; Annabelle; step grandchildren, Seth; Ethan; Elijah; and Kristin Taylor; sister, Laura Carlson Peterson (Tom) of Shoreview; half brother, Jay (Elaina) Anderson; step brother, Pete (Amy) Anderson of Elgin; step sister, Dawn Schneider of Dent; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service, Monday (2/22), 11:00 am at United Methodist Church of Hastings, 615, W. 15th St. , Hastings. Gathering Sunday (2/21) from 5 -7 pm at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to service at church on Monday. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Hastings Breast Cancer Support Group.
