Nelson, Dean
age 59, of New Brighton, passed away May 2, 2013. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Susan; daughter, Hanna; son, Axel; grandson, Parker; parents, Donald and Romayne Nelson; brother, Joel (Nancy); sisters, Carla, Beth (Roger) Will; and nieces and nephews. Dean was a man of many interests and talents including making pottery, stamp and coin collecting, fly fishing, Saabs, road rallies and opera. He had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a longtime member of North Heights. Dean was a graduate of Bethel University and was employed as a quality engineer. He enjoyed local politics and was former DFL district chair. Visitation Monday 6-8 PM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Minneapolis. Funeral Tuesday 1 PM, North Heights Lutheran Church, 2701 N. Rice St., Roseville with visitation one hour before the service. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
