Dean Cran

Dean Cran, age 56, of Hastings, passed away peacefully December 11, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born April 4, 1964. Dean was salutatorian at Hastings High School, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hamline University. He worked at Fidelity National Financial for many years. Dean was an accomplished musician and a movie buff. He was the organist at St. Mary's Basswood Grove from the age of 15 until the time of his passing. He enjoyed his music, his friends, his work, and his church family. Dean was preceded in death by his father, Lauren Cran; and his uncles, Jim and Gary Cran. He is survived by his mother, Darlene Cran; brother, Brian Cran (Susan Onstad); nephew, Tyler Onstad-Cran; and his cousins, Donald Cran, Sara Liebel, and Scott Quam. A private memorial service and interment will be held at St. Mary's Basswood Grove when it is safe to do so.
