David Scott Seleskie

David Scott “Tish” Seleskie, age 69, of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly during a surgical procedure on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Scott was born on January 31, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Charles and Patricia (Peck) Seleskie. He grew up in Hastings as one of five children. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1974. The year prior, he met Roberta Gullberg, and the two built a life filled with love, dedication and hard work. They were blessed with two children, Joel and Nicole, and shared 47 years of marriage.

Scott had a passion for anything mechanical. Cars and Harleys were his go-to. He enjoyed being busy, and when he wasn’t working, he could be found attending his grandchildren's sporting events or the local car shows.

Above all, he loved being a husband, dad, and grandpa, and he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark Seleskie; and niece, Magda Anderson.Scott is survived by his wife, Roberta; children, Joel (Katie) Seleskie and Nicole (Tyler) Marr; grandchildren, Levi, Jack, Sawyer, Cade, Samara, and Charlie; siblings, Debbie Anderson, Lori (Geoff) Maltby, and Dawn Seleskie; sister-in-law Ginger Hennen, sister-in-law Karol (John) Burns, and brother-in-law Ron (Kathy) Gullberg; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings. Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., service at 4:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Private burial at Lakeside Cemetery will take place at a later date.
