David Peter Boris

David Peter Boris, 46, of Apple Valley, passed away Thursday surrounded by his devoted family. Born October 4, 1965 in Racine, Wisconsin to Ervin “Butch” and Beverly (nee Decker) Boris, David is survived by his loving wife of more than 20 years, Carla, and their sons Seth and Ryan, parents Butch and Bev Boris, father- and mother-in-law Bill and Judy Hofer, brothers Dean (Christine) and Duane (Amy) Boris, sister DeAnn (Jamey) Handschke, brother-in-law Justin (Samantha) Hofer, sister-in-law Amy (Brian) Fisher, nieces and nephews Kasey and Zachary Boris, Riley and MacKenzie Boris, Cole, Carter, and Jenna Handschke, and Allison and Brady Fisher, and beloved constant companion Boomer. David was passionate about many things especially family vacations, coaching his sons’ sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys, outdoor activities including golf, downhill skiing, softball and landscaping, and his work for the Lawrence Bohmbach Insurance Agency of Hastings. David will be forever treasured and missed by all who knew him. Gatherings of Friends and Family are scheduled from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, November 13, at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley (952)432-2331, and from 9-10 a.m., Monday November 14, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 16725 Highview Avenue, Lakeville. Memorial Services will follow at 10 a.m. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
