David L. Hoffman

David L. Hoffman, age 46, of Hastings, passed away August 6, 2017. He was born on February 6, 1971 in Red Wing, MN to Lester and Nancy Hoffman. After completing high school, David pursued his love for music as a Luthier where he would go on to own a guitar repair shop in Hastings. On September 30, 2000, David married the love of his life, Cindy Thomas, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings. Prior to their marriage, David returned to school at Brown College to be a network administrator. In his spare time David played hockey, went hiking and biking with his family and friends, and stayed involved with his music roots by playing in the church praise band. David is survived by wife, Cindy; children, Noah and Zoe; parents, Lester and Nancy Hoffman; father and mother in law, Jack and Ginny Thomas; sister, Laura (Jason) Piehl; sister in law, Beth (Gabe) Johnson; brother in law, Mike (Jenny) Thomas; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service, officiated by Dr. Chris Kneen, will be held on Thursday (8/10) at 11 A.M. at Resurrection United Methodist Church, 615 15th St W, Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred.
