David Harris, died on Monday, May 5, 2025 at United Hospital in Saint Paul. He was born the son of Willard and Elisabeth Harris on November 23, 1947 in Queens, New York. David moved to Las Vegas during his high school years, graduating from high school in Las Vegas. He later graduated from architecture school in Nevada. David designed many casinos in Las Vegas such as the Tropicana and Golden Nugget. He also designed many large housing complexes and residential homes in Las Vegas.
David married Barbara McNaughton on November 17, 1979 in Las Vegas.
He loved to tinker and build things in the garage as well as building many homes that he and Barbara shared. David had a gifted mind for technical things and had a passion for learning. He was an avid reader of technical journals and National Geographic. David had a kind soul and always had an ear for listening whenever anyone needed someone to listen. Family was the most important thing to him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Elisabeth; and sister, Joan (Bud) Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, David Jr. (Pam), Teresa (Marshall) Morton, Shawna (Rich) Aron, Jason (Erin) Ulbrich, Johnathon, Amanda (Mitch) Gilbert; 14 grandchildren; brother, Steve; and many other relatives and friends. Cremation services provided by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
