age 56 of Golden Valley, MN, died on June 19, 2014. Preceded in death by father, Roland Swanson; mother, Betty Swanson-Grothe; step-father, Howard Grothe; nephew, Michael Swanson; double lung donor, Mary Swenson; and many special friends & relatives. Survived by fiance, Bonnie Bray; daughter, Jennifer (Chris Penrod) Swanson; step-mother, Kathy Swanson; siblings, Bob (Donna) Swanson, Leslie (Todd) Erickson, Janet (Bill) Goodin; step-sister, Michelle (John) Gartrell; many other relatives & friends. The gift of donated lungs gave Dave an additional 17 years of life. A special thanks to Dave’s caregivers at the U of M Hospital and clinics. Memorials preferred to the University of MN Foundation (lung transplant, cystic fibrosis). Funeral service, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 25th, Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Rd., Farmington. Visitation Tuesday, June 24th, 4-7 PM at the church along with one hour prior to service on Wednesday. Interment at Church Cemetery.
